Boeing 777 aircraft serviced by Emirates will undergo modifications in eight additional locations, as reported.
Emirates Upgrades Boeing 777 Fleet, Introducing Premium Economy and Enhanced Cabins
Emirates is enhancing its fleet with upgraded Boeing 777 aircraft, as part of a major investment worth US$5 billion. The retrofitted Boeing 777s will feature a four-class cabin configuration, including First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy, offering a consistent cabin experience across the network.
The Premium Economy cabin boasts spacious cream-colored leather seats with generous leg rests and a deeper recline for added comfort. The refurbished Business Class and Economy cabins will sport updated interiors with new color palettes and upgraded technology.
Starting from October 26, 2025, the revamped Boeing 777s will serve eight additional destinations, including Mumbai, Amman, Bahrain, and Muscat. Over 635 weekly flights across the network will now feature Premium Economy, providing passengers with more choices and an elevated travel experience.
London Stansted will receive a second daily service with the upgraded Boeing 777 interiors from June 2025. Passengers flying to Lisbon, Dublin, Hong Kong, the Maldives, Kolkata, Colombo, Johannesburg, Cape Town, and London Stansted will experience the airline's latest cabin enhancements from the same period.
Johannesburg and Cape Town will, for the first time, feature Premium Economy and refreshed Business Class cabins. A refurbished aircraft is being rolled out every three weeks as part of this initiative, with the aim of serving 44 cities with modernized Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft by September 2025.
Emirates' commitment to South Africa as a key market is reinforced with these changes, aiming to provide passengers with a top-tier inflight experience. Tickets for the newly upgraded services can be purchased through the Emirates App, emirates.com, and travel agents worldwide.
