Chef Eitan Bernath Praises 'Best Ever' Tacos at Mexico City's Nacho

American chef and social media star Eitan Bernath has praised the tacos at Nacho in Mexico City, calling them 'basically the best ever'. He has visited the city four times and considers the dishes at Nacho to represent a culinary tour of Mexico.

Eitan was particularly impressed with the Quesadilla Milpa, a dish stuffed with Oaxaca cheese, beans, avocado, and squash blossoms. The dish is accented by epazote and hoja santa leaves, adding a unique flavour. Eitan's appreciation for the dish is a testament to his pursuit of excellence and authenticity in food, even in small things like the humble tortilla.

During his visit, Eitan also learned about the nixtamalization process of making tortillas and praised the use of local herbs like epazote and purslane in the dishes. He even visited Rancho Lola, a farm that specializes in indigenous ingredients and sustainable farming practices. Eitan found the attention to detail and authenticity given to the tortillas at Nacho to be exceptional.
