Cultural Affairs Kick off in Hünfeld: Cinema, Comedy Show, and Music Performances slated for July 25, 2025
The picturesque town of Hünfeld is gearing up for an exciting summer cultural series, offering a diverse range of events for residents and visitors alike. The series, which kicks off on July 11th, will feature a mix of live music performances and open-air cinema screenings.
The Open-Air Cinema, suitable for ages 6 and up, will commence on July 11th in the courtyard of the Museum Modern Art. Tickets for the event can be purchased online at www.pretix.eu/huenfeld or at the local citizen's office and tourist info for €8, with reduced tickets available for €6. The first film to be screened under the open sky will be the German comedy "Alter weißer Mann" at 9 PM.
On July 11th, at 5 PM, the Rhön Säuwaetz, a Skiffle-Blues band from Eichenzell-Lütter, will take the stage under the town hall arcade. The band, known for their energetic performances, includes Martin Caba (mandolin, harmonica, vocals, MC), Christoph Günther (tea chest bass, vocals), and Christoph Leipold (washboard, milk can, vocals).
The music duo "C. Flat in Duet" will perform on August 8th, also under the town hall arcade, from 5 to 6 PM. Singer Judith Erb and pianist Arno Volkmar make up the duo, and their repertoire includes timeless sounds of Fleetwood Mac and catchy melodies of Simply Red. Admission to their performance is free.
Closing the series will be Sabinett, a dynamic music group that blends chill and pop genres to create a fabulous sound. Sabinett, featuring singers Sabine Wittich and Melanie Grünkorn, and guitarist André Barthelmes, will perform on Friday, September 5th, under the town hall arcade from 5 to 6 PM. Admission to Sabinett's performance is also free.
