Delta Unveils Future Travel Plans at CES 2025: AI Concierge, Uber Miles, Electric Air Taxis
Delta Air Lines has unveiled its future travel plans at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2025 in Las Vegas. Celebrating its 100th anniversary, the airline presented the AI-assisted 'Delta Concierge' and announced a partnership with Uber and Joby for electric air taxis.
Delta Concierge, integrated into the Fly-Delta app, is a personalized, context-based travel assistant. It provides real-time assistance, anticipates customer needs, and offers tips for intuitive trip planning. The tool informs customers about travel progress, visa requirements, weather information for packing, and navigation at unfamiliar airports.
Delta Air Lines has also partnered with Uber. Starting in spring 2025, SkyMiles members will earn miles for UberX rides to and from airports. The mileage rates vary depending on the Uber service used and restaurant/grocery orders. Additionally, Delta is collaborating with Joby to launch electric air taxi services at Delta hubs, pending federal and local approval. Delta Concierge will be connected to this service, transforming home-to-airport transport in the coming years.
Delta Air Lines' innovations at CES 2025 include the AI-assisted Delta Concierge and partnerships with Uber and Joby. These initiatives aim to enhance customer experience, reward loyalty, and promote sustainable travel.
