Disaster for airline L'Odyssey: all flights cancelled, passengers left disheartened

When regional airline L'Odyssey announced in December 2024 its plans for interregional flights from Tours and Nîmes to Nice, Bastia, Florence, and Barcelona, fans of affordable air travel rejoiced. Sadly, it seems those dreams will remain unrealized this summer, as the promising project has collapsed due to insufficient finances.
But why did this anticipated venture fall through? Troubles between L'Odyssey and its technical partner led to increased financial demands, according to L'Odyssey, who also confessed to underestimating various operational and contractual risks. Disappointingly, Edeis, L'Odyssey's partner in this endeavor, received news of the cancellation with no prior consultation.
Although the booking system was in progress and reservation rates were hopeful, it appears the operation has been scrapped. L'Odyssey's founder, Clément Pellistrandi, offered an apology to affected customers, acknowledging their trust in the company.
In response to the cancellation, Edeis expressed their displeasure with L'Odyssey's supposed lack of professionalism and transparency. If you booked your ticket through Edeis, they assure that the proper authorities will be contacted to ensure prompt refunds for all passengers.
Just days ago, L'Odyssey confirmed it was momentarily halting almost all of its flight projects, maintaining only the line to Ajaccio. Sadly, this planned regional transport offer, designed to enhance existing train lines, will never take flight.
