After the electrifying launch of its Inaugural Batch Releases back in Autumn 2022, the team at Lagg is ready to make a lasting impression on the whisky world.
Welcome the LAGG Single Malt Kilmory Edition, the trailblazing pioneer of Lagg's core range. This flagship whisky embodies the daring spirit of Lagg, striving to recreate the traditional, clandestine whisky brewed on the island long before the distillery's establishment in 2019.
Matured exclusively in First-Fill Bourbon Barrels and rolling off the shelves at 46% ABV, the Kilmory Edition boasts an exquisite balance between peat influence, heavenly vanilla, and velvety notes from the American oak. The outcome? A dynamic Single Malt that serves as a solid foundation for what Lagg has in store for the future.
Kilmory takes its name from the picturesque parish in which the enchanting village of Lagg resides. This malt is a loving nod to the quaint village—the birthplace of the remarkable LAGG Single Malts.
In the blink of an eye, the Kilmory Edition will be replaced by the captivating LAGG Single Malt Corriecravie Edition, making its grand entrance in late July. This expression undergoes a dual maturation process, commencing in Bourbon Barrels, before being transferred to Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads sourced directly from Miguel Martin in Jerez for approximately 6 months. The Corriecravie Edition will be bottled unfiltered and untamed, preserving its natural flavors and expressing its true spirit.
