Embrace Green Travel in the Heart of Copenhagen this Summer with CopenPay
Encourages Travelers with Environmental-Friendly Choices to Receive Incentives in Copenhagen - Encourages Tourists to Opt for Eco-Friendly Transportation with Incentives in Copenhagen
Step into the wonderful world of Copenhagen, where eco-friendly travel is rewarded! This summer, the "CopenPay" campaign is back and better than ever, stretching over a longer period, boosting activity offerings, and concentrating on railway travelers.
A test run last summer saw tourists earning amazing cultural experiences, delicious treats, and more by selecting sustainable travel choices, such as opting for public transportation, pedaling bikes, or cleaning up parks, beaches, and waterways. Now, the fun doesn't stop after two weeks; it lasts for a whopping nine weeks, with an astonishing 90 activities to choose from, as proudly announced by the tourism organization, Wonderful Copenhagen. The festivities commence on June 17 and end on August 17.
The Spotlight's on Train Travelers
One intriguing development is the focus on rail travelers: those who venture to Copenhagen by train will be greeted with free bike rentals, yoga sessions, guided tours, or discounted access to some of the city's top attractions. Plus, the city urges longer stays, less frequent trips, and sustainable transportation.
"Revolutionizing tourism in Copenhagen is about integrating responsible actions into a visitor's experience, and that's what CopenPay sets out to do," shared Søren Tegen Pedersen, CEO of Wonderful Copenhagen. The aim isn't to attract more guests to the city but rather to nurture a shift in traveler mindsets, focusing on lowering their carbon footprint and making earth-friendly selections.
