Expansion of significant proportions on the horizon for RACV Inverloch Resort

The RACV Inverloch Resort in Victoria is set to undergo a significant expansion, which includes the addition of a new wing featuring 36 premium ocean-view rooms, additional car parking, relocation of an existing villa, and a new wastewater detention storage system. This development will notably increase the resort's accommodation capacity, allowing it to welcome up to 20,000 more guests annually, raising the total estimated overnight visitors from about 55,000 to around 75,000 each year.

Construction on the project, scheduled to commence in late 2025, is expected to be completed by December 2026. The new wing is anticipated to welcome its first guests by this time.

The expansion addresses the current high demand for quality accommodation in the region, as the resort often operates at near full occupancy and turns away visitors during peak seasons. The increased capacity and premium offerings will elevate Inverloch’s status as a premium destination, supporting local tourism operators, enabling larger conferences and events, and boosting the regional economy. It is estimated to inject about $6.5 million annually into the local economy.

The architectural design for the expansion is by the firm GHD, and the project is aligned with regional tourism development plans and supported by the Victorian Government’s Regional Tourism Investment Fund. This support is expected to create 120 jobs during construction and 15 ongoing positions once operational, thereby enhancing economic opportunities in Gippsland.

The RACV Inverloch Resort prides itself on its commitment to local producers, artists, and community initiatives. The expansion aims to provide diverse travel opportunities and increased satisfaction for RACV Members. Leisure facilities at the resort include a pool, gym, and children's playground. The Radius Restaurant at the resort showcases local produce.

The expansion reinforces the resort as a perfect option for families and luxury seekers, offering a diverse range of facilities and services. The new rooms will feature floor-to-ceiling windows capturing panoramic views across Andersons Inlet. The design blends seamlessly with the coastal landscape using sustainable materials and native vegetation.

The RACV Inverloch Resort plays a significant role in regional tourism infrastructure. The expansion project will further solidify its position as a popular option for families and luxury seekers, offering a unique coastal experience. The RACV Inverloch Resort development will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Gippsland region.

The new wing, featuring 36 premium ocean-view rooms, is expected to provide elevated lifestyle experiences for travelers at the RACV Inverloch Resort. With the expansion, the resort aims to cater to a wider range of travelers, including families and luxury seekers, thereby boosting tourism in the Gippsland region.
