Fast charging stations in Nordic region now accept card payments, pioneered by Recharge's Chief Product Officer.
In a breaking news development, Recharge, the first major charging operator in the Nordics, has announced the launch of two new charging subscriptions aimed at providing a more flexible, user-friendly, and accessible charging experience for electric vehicle (EV) drivers throughout the region. The new subscriptions, Recharge Flow and Recharge Move, offer lower prices per kWh compared to previous rates, making EV charging more affordable for frequent users. Recharge Flow is priced at 5.99 NOK/kWh with no monthly fee, making it an ideal option for spontaneous users. On the other hand, Recharge Move, priced at 4.79 NOK/kWh with a monthly fee of 69 NOK, caters to frequent users who want better control over their charging costs. In addition to the new subscriptions, Recharge has equipped fast chargers in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark, totaling over 2,500, with card terminals. These terminals do not require an app or account to use, making EV charging a breeze for all drivers. David Lincoln Blom, Communications and Marketing Director at Recharge, said, 'Charging should be easy for all electric car drivers.' This move is part of Recharge's long-term work to simplify everyday life for EV drivers. The company, along with partners such as Bosch, Shell, Volkswagen, and other major automotive and technology firms, is working under the initiatives by CharIN and EMVCo to streamline the EV charging process. With these new developments, EV drivers can now charge quickly and easily along the road with a card tap/blip, eliminating the need for cash or complex processes. This user-friendly option is particularly beneficial for holidaymakers, first-time users, and visitors. In summary, Recharge's new charging subscriptions and card terminals aim to revolutionise the EV charging landscape in the Nordics, offering a more flexible, user-friendly, and accessible charging experience for all electric vehicle drivers.
