Free 'World Hospice Day' in Kreis Herford Aims to Boost Awareness and Support
The 'Zukunft im Wittekindskreis' foundation and the Hospiz- und Palliativarbeit im Kreis Herford working group invite you to 'World Hospice Day in Kreis Herford' on October 11, 2025. The event, free to enter, aims to raise awareness and support for hospice and palliative care in the district.
The event will take place at the Kreishaus on Herforder Amtshausstraße from 10 am to 3:30 pm. It will feature a varied program including lectures, information films, and theater performances. Various organizations involved in hospice and palliative care in Kreis Herford will present themselves and provide information.
Ralf Stölting, Kreis-Kämmerer and board member of the 'Zukunft im Wittekindskreis' foundation, hopes to give these offers more publicity through the event. The foundation has also acquired a building in Herford to create the first stationary hospice in Kreis Herford, expected to be operational by mid-2026. This year's World Hospice Day theme is 'Hospice: Home for all', emphasizing the importance of hospice care for everyone regardless of background.
