Hanse Sail 2025: AIDA Cruises infuses a vacation vibe into Rostock's city port
AIDA Cruises, a major player in the tourism industry of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, is set to lend its support to the Hanse Sail festival in Rostock, scheduled to take place from August 7 to August 10, 2025.
The maritime festival, which will primarily unfold in Rostock’s Stadthafen area, celebrates traditional sailing and offers visitors a chance to experience authentic seafaring firsthand.
Festival Schedule
The Hanse Sail festival will kick off on August 6, 2025, with an early opening event starting at 2:00 PM (CEST). The main festival days, including ship arrivals, cultural programs, and sailing excursions, will run from August 7 to August 10. Daily traditional ship outings, both day and evening trips, will be available for booking during the festival dates.
Activities
Visitors can look forward to watching and boarding a wide array of traditional sailing vessels and tall ships. They can also join daily sailing trips on participant ships to experience sailing heritage up close. The festival will also feature maritime cultural events, harbor festivities, and scenic waterfront activities in Rostock’s Stadthafen area.

There will be additional attractions on the silo terraces at the headquarters of AIDA Cruises during the Hanse Sail festival, including a wheel of fortune, sun loungers with a harbor view, a kids' corner, and dream experts. A big raffle is being held during the Hanse Sail festival, with AIDA Cruises giving away a travel voucher worth 2,500 euros.
