Sofitel Marrakech: A Luxurious Oasis in the Heart of Marrakech

The Sofitel Marrakech, nestled on a quiet and leafy boulevard in l'Hivernage, offers a unique blend of Moroccan charm and modern elegance. Located at Rue Harroun Errachid, the hotel provides easy access to the busy heart of the Nouvelle Ville and is just a twenty-minute walk from the Djemma el Fna.

Upon entering the hotel, guests are greeted by a stunning architectural design, with two wings forming a 'U' shape around beautiful grounds filled with lush grass, trees, and plants, and two lovely pools. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout, with a few touches of Moroccan decor and more elegant decorations like crystal chandeliers.

The standard twin room is tastefully decorated with traditional Moroccan touches, and the bed is beyond comfortable. The room also boasts a small tiled balcony overlooking the pool and the misty Atlas Mountains. For those seeking a more luxurious experience, the suite room offers a beautiful balcony area affording a view of the stunning grounds around the pool, as well as two bathrooms with big marble worktops and complimentary goodies.

The hotel provides services such as twice daily room cleaning and picking up crumpled clothes left on the floor. Guests can unwind at the bar and nightclub, SoFun, which is reached through a metal detector and a winding path through sculpted gardens. Although prices at SoFun are high, the live band and dance moves are fantastic.

Breakfast at the Sofitel Marrakech offers an array of Moroccan breads, English breakfast staples, and fresh juices. Food at the hotel is delicious, with a variety of options including macarons, grill out on the terrace, and a hot and cold buffet.

The hotel's location in the furthest wing of the Palais Imperial section means a bit of a walk to get to the pool, restaurant, or hotel exit. However, the impeccable staff offer friendly greetings and prompt assistance, ensuring guests have a comfortable stay.

For those seeking alternative luxury options in the Nouvelle Ville area, the Es Saadi Hotel, La Sultana Marrakech, Nobu Hotel Marrakech, and Novotel Marrakech Hivernage are top-rated choices. Each offers high-end amenities and distinctive experiences, with Nobu Hotel and Es Saadi recognized for exceptional luxury services, while Novotel provides a modern hotel experience in a lively area.

In summary, the Sofitel Marrakech is a luxurious hotel that offers a unique blend of Moroccan charm and modern elegance. With its beautiful rooms, delicious food, and stunning grounds, it is an ideal choice for those seeking a comfortable and memorable stay in Marrakech. Prices start at £140 per night.
