India Takes Helm of G20, B20 Focuses on 'R.A.I.S.E' for 2023

India has assumed the presidency of the G20 for 2023, with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) taking the helm as the B20 Secretariat. The B20, the voice of the G20 business community, will operate under the theme 'R.A.I.S.E' this year, focusing on responsible, accelerated, innovative, sustainable, and equitable businesses.

The global economy faces numerous challenges, including rising energy and commodity prices, inflation, raw material and labor shortages, and supply chain disruptions. These economic shocks have hindered the global recovery process. To tackle these issues, the B20 has identified key priorities and established seven task forces and two action councils, led by industry and sector experts appointed by the B20 India leadership team.

Global alliances and international institutions play a crucial role in addressing these complex economic challenges. The B20, as the voice of the G20 business community, aims to provide concrete and actionable policy recommendations to shape the global economic agenda.

Under India's G20 presidency and CII's leadership of the B20 Secretariat, the business community looks forward to collaborative efforts in addressing global economic challenges and fostering a more resilient and sustainable global economy.
