Kazakh Businesswomen Gain Insights at Global Women's Summit in Berlin
The Global Women's Summit in Berlin recently concluded, with the Association of Businesswomen of Kazakhstan participating for the 23rd year. Assel Machmudova, a board member, shared insights about the event and her experiences.
The summit, held from July 3rd to 5th, attracted around 1000 participants from over 60 countries and 150 speakers from over 40 nations. Machmudova was inspired by sessions on global IT companies, green energy, and women in the global economy. Key trends discussed included investments in women's projects, digital financial literacy, green entrepreneurship, and international women's networks.
Machmudova noted stronger systematic promotion of women entrepreneurs in Europe compared to Kazakhstan. She exchanged business cards with participants from Germany, including those leading the non-profit organization FidAR e.V. and Astrid Maier, CEO of the Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH. Inspiring projects for the Kazakh delegation could include the Qazaq Nuclear Frontline Coalition and the documentary 'JARA – Radioactive Patriarchy: Women of Qazaqstan'.
The Global Women's Summit in Berlin focused on sustainable leadership, digital transformation, and ESG initiatives by women. Machmudova's participation has provided valuable insights and connections for the Association of Businesswomen of Kazakhstan, potentially leading to further collaborations and progress for women entrepreneurs in the country.
