Southwest Airlines Announces August 2025 Sale: Up to 40% Off Flights

Southwest Airlines has announced a new sale offering up to 40% off base fares on many flights when booked by August 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. PT using the promo code LUVFALL. This discount applies to qualifying one-way or round-trip Basic and Wanna Get Away Plus fares booked directly through Southwest channels.

The eligible travel dates and blackout dates vary by route, as specified in the full terms and conditions. For flights within the U.S. mainland, the sale applies to travel from August 25, 2025, to January 26, 2026, with blackout dates including Nov 21–26, Nov 28–Dec 1, Dec 19–21, Dec 26–29, 2025; Jan 2–4, 2026.

For flights to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and international destinations from the continental U.S., the sale applies to travel from August 25, 2025, to January 26, 2026, with blackout dates including Aug 28–Sept 2, Nov 20–24, Dec 18, 2025–Jan 6, 2026. The same blackout dates apply to flights from Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and international destinations to the continental U.S.

Interisland Hawaii flights are eligible from August 25 to November 1, 2025, with blackout dates on Aug 28–Sept 2, 2025.

There are no restrictions on which days of the week you can travel within these eligible dates. To use the promo code, book your flight directly on Southwest Airlines' website by August 7, 2025. Enter promo code LUVFALL during the booking process to receive up to 40% off the base fare. The discount applies to the base fare only; fees for bags, seat selection, and other add-ons are not discounted.

Both revenue and award flights qualify for the discount. Note that availability of discounted seats and routes is limited, so it is advisable to check Southwest’s full terms and conditions and confirm fare eligibility on your chosen flights.
