Now Now: A Design-Led Haven for Solo Travelers in the Heart of New York City

In the vibrant NoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, a new establishment has emerged as a hip and affordable haven for solo travelers - Now Now. This innovative hotel, created by Phil Hospod, the founder and CEO of Dovetail + Co, blends the best of design-led hostels and capsule hotels, offering a modern sanctuary for the solo travel market.

The design concept of Now Now honours the building's century-old history as a lodging house, while modernising it with sleek, stylish communal spaces and innovative single-occupancy sleeper pods. The interior design, masterminded by Ashley Wilkins of Islyn Studio, features earthy tones and striped archways in the lobby, while the dorm-style hallways boast acoustic ceiling baffles to allow light and air, providing some privacy.

The hotel boasts 177 compact rooms, each equipped with custom-built furnishings, charging stations, under-bed storage, and the largest rooms, known as the 'Now or Never' category, are adorned with colorful murals by local artists to add personality. Six corner rooms even offer natural light via windows. The communal bathrooms are high-end, featuring tiled stall showers, Dyson hair dryers, and Grown Alchemist amenities.

Amenities at Now Now focus on the comfort and convenience of solo travelers, with carefully designed communal bathrooms and well-thought-out room features to maximise function in small spaces. To further cater to its guests, Now Now partners with local businesses to offer savings at nearby shops, cafes, and Crunch Fitness.

Now Now's location in NoHo provides easy access to cultural sites and entertainment options. While specific nearby attractions are not detailed, one common day trip recommendation from the hotel is Luna Park amusement park, a notable recreational destination in New York City.

In addition to its rooms, Now Now offers various amenities for guests to rent, such as Bryte twin mattresses, sound machines, sleep masks, earplugs, plush robes, noise-cancelling headphones, Solawave LED masks, and Therabody guns. An all-day cafe is also moving into the vacant ground-floor commercial space this fall.

Now Now, with its unique blend of design, affordability, and social consciousness, is quickly becoming a must-visit destination for creative solo travelers seeking a stylish and practical stay in central Manhattan.

Now Now is located at 338 Bowery, New York, NY 10012, United States. The establishment, a new hip haunt in downtown New York, is following in the footsteps of Phil Hospod's previous successful projects like Freehand Hotel New York, The Line DC, and The Hoxton, Williamsburg. It's also worth noting that Andy Warhol, a celebrated figure of the NoHo neighborhood, would likely approve of this modern take on a century-old lodging house.

At Now Now, travelers can immerse themselves in a design-led lifestyle, combining the comforts of home-and-garden with the excitement of travel in the heart of New York City. After a day of exploring the vibrant NoHo neighborhood, guests can unwind in their stylish, compact rooms before venturing out to experience the city's rich travel destinations like Luna Park.
