Pakistani enterprise Bookme aims for a $20 million annual income through growth in Saudi Arabia

Bookme, a Pakistani e-ticketing platform, has made significant strides in the Saudi Arabian market since its entry in 2024. The company, originally founded in 2013 and dominant in Pakistan with over 14 million users, has established a strategic partnership with Mrsool, a leading food and package delivery app in Saudi Arabia, and the Saudi Tourism Ministry.

The partnership with Mrsool is valued at about $5 million annually, and Bookme expects to generate around $20 million in additional annual revenue from its expansion in Saudi Arabia. The company's growth in the region is expected to accelerate significantly, potentially reaching three to four times the current levels annually.

In early 2025, Bookme further solidified its presence by signing a deal with flyadeal, a low-cost Saudi airline, to facilitate direct flight bookings between Pakistan and various Saudi cities. This partnership is valued at approximately $4 million annually.

Bookme's ticket fares are around 6-7 percent lower than the market average, with discounts rising to as much as 15 percent during seasonal promotions. The company is planning to establish more partnerships with the Kingdom's leading banks and fintech companies, following the signing of two contracts, including two with banks that are pending approval from Saudi Arabia's central bank. These contracts will allow users of these banks to access similar services through their respective applications.

As part of its expansion plans, Bookme is targeting the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Africa, starting with South Africa and Tanzania. The company is using Saudi Arabia as a hub for growth in the Middle East and Africa, aiming to capitalize on Saudi Arabia’s growing appetite for digital services and e-ticketing.

Bookme's integration with Mrsool is set to go live by the end of July, allowing Mrsool users to book airline tickets and make hotel reservations globally within the Saudi Mrsool app. The company focuses on business travelers, families, and leisure passengers moving between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

flyadeal, which recently began flight operations from Karachi, is set to launch services from Lahore and Islamabad soon. Bookme can help drive a significant number of new passengers to flyadeal, positioning itself well to capitalize on the growing demand for travel between the two countries.

In addition, Bookme runs campaigns, events, and influencer marketing initiatives with the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) to position the Kingdom as a preferred destination for Pakistani travelers. The company aims to leverage its strong presence in Pakistan, where it has gained a significant foothold by forging partnerships with major transport and fintech companies, to drive growth in the Saudi market and beyond.
