Rural Tourism Portal in Croatia, Idemonaselo.hr, Unveiled
Let's Spruce Up Croatian Rural Tourism: Idemonaselo.hr Launches
April 15, 2025 - It's high time to shake up the Croatian countryside, and that's exactly what we're doing with the unveiling of idemonaselo.hr – a new digital playground for rural tourism enthusiasts!
As Zvonko Pavić put it in his byline, the lack of an all-encompassing resource for rural tourism prompted the Croatian Rural Tourism Association to roll out idemonaselo.hr. This bad boy will serve as your one-stop-shop for everything authentic and charmingly rustic in Croatia's countryside.
Two long years in the making, this project gave birth to a database teeming with information on a whopping 1,800 entities across rural Croatia––think providers of unique tourism experiences and attractions alike. Throw in the locales nestled within national parks, nature reserves, and other preserves, and you've got a veritable treasure trove of hidden gems.

Accessibility reigns supreme at idemonaselo.hr. This digital sanctuary adheres to guidelines championing access to information for everyone. Dive in and discover rural wonders with ease, making a beeline for options that fascinate you as you connect with service providers and prospective employers in a jiffy. The info gathered collaboratively with Krizevci Polytechnic, local tourist boards, county economy and tourism offices, social media, and research expeditions helps ensure an accurate representation of the rural Croatian tapestry.
The platform is shaping up as a collaborative hub for stakeholders eager to impart their information, allowing them to continually refine and update their content post-publication. Aleksandra Kuratko Pani, the Head of the Croatian Rural Tourism Association, spilled the beans on these plans at the Croatian Journalists' Association in Zagreb.

Pockets full of change and digital savvy, the Croatian rural tourism portal's conceptualization and tech stages drew support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, the Ministry of Tourism and Sport, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ), and the Croatian Rural Tourism Association’s members to the tune of 100,000 euros over a span of two years. Operational expenses, promotions, and packages for users eager to explore its riches will be funded via donations, sponsorships, and service fees.
The presentation of idemonaselo.hr welcomed a stimulating panel discussion on the murky waters and vast potential of digital transformation in rural tourism. A cherry on top, the event marked the debut of the "Croatian Breakfast" – a veritable smorgasbord of mouth-watering rural delicacies from Moslavina, Međimurje, and Prigorje, curated by several family farms.
