SOH Reports 10.54M Euro Profit in 2023, Boosts Sustainability and Community Initiatives
Stadtwerke Offenbach Holding GmbH (SOH) has reported a significant increase in profits, reaching 10.54 million euros in 2023. The company, which focuses on sustainable practices and community engagement, has also seen improvements in its financial health and mobility sector.
SOH's parent company saw profits surge by 2 million euros compared to the previous year, with total revenue amounting to 136.6 million euros. The balance sheet total stood at 518.57 million euros. Notably, the equity ratio climbed to 39.6 percent, up from 38.1 percent in the previous year.
The company's commitment to sustainability extends to its personnel policy, investing in the training and further education of young people. It also demonstrated its dedication to the local community by providing 441,000 euros to Offenbach associations and initiatives through donations and sponsorships.
In the mobility sector, revenues increased by 17 percent, and the total loss decreased by 6 percent in 2023. The 'PV-Offensive Offenbach' project, led by ProjektStadt and Mario Gans, is a key initiative. It focuses on investing in photovoltaic (PV) technology to drive climate-neutral urban development in Offenbach and surrounding areas, aiming to supply the city with clean energy and feed excess energy into the power grid.
Offenbach's municipal utilities ended the year with a profit of approximately 4.85 million euros. Additionally, the company allocated a further 350,000 euros for the municipal project 'Better Living in Offenbach'.
SOH's strong financial performance in 2023, coupled with its commitment to sustainability and community support, positions the company well for the future. Its investments in renewable energy and local initiatives are expected to have a positive impact on both the environment and the Offenbach community.
