Ships of the cruise line docking at Warnemünde port - Three voyages of cruise ships embarking from Warnemünde

The Baltic Sea resort of Warnemünde is set to welcome three cruise ships on Sunday, marking a significant event in the region's thriving cruise tourism industry. The "MSC Poesia", the "Silver Shadow", and the "Viking Saturn" will grace the port, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of this popular destination.

This visit by the "Silver Shadow" represents one of the 36 scheduled port calls at Warnemünde this year, making it one of Germany's most important ports for cruise ships. The "Silver Shadow" is also one of the seven ships that will be making a maiden call to Warnemünde this season, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.

The exact number of passengers expected on the "Silver Shadow" for this visit has not been specified, but last season, over 500,000 passengers were registered during 148 ship visits in Warnemünde. This year's total number of passengers and ship visits has not been disclosed yet.

Twenty-three shipping companies, including national and international ones, will visit Warnemünde this year, with the "Silver Shadow" being one of the ships that will be visited by passengers from twenty-two different nationalities. This triple cruise ship visit is the third such event this year, with another planned for August 20th.

Warnemünde remains a key hub for Baltic Sea cruises, attracting a diverse range of passengers from around the world. However, specific statistics for 2021 would require access to detailed port activity reports or cruise line data from that year.

The Rostock Port authority reported last season's impressive figures, with over 500,000 passengers registered during 148 ship visits. With the upcoming visits and the planned events, Warnemünde is poised to continue its successful cruise tourism season.

The "Silver Shadow's" visit to Warnemünde, amidst scheduled port calls and multiple visits from various nationalities, signifies a cornerstone in the community policy of fostering diverse lifestyles through travel and vocational training opportunities provided by the cruise tourism industry. This vibrant atmosphere, filled with visiting ships and diverse passengers, also offers unique opportunities for vocational training in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
