U.S. Beer Tycoon Pays a Visit to Wuppertal

Pete Coors, great-grandson of Adolph Coors, the founder of the Molson Coors Beverage Company, recently visited Wuppertal, Germany. During his trip, Coors was given a unique opportunity to view a framed copy of his great-grandfather's original birth certificate from 1847, which was born in Barmen, Germany.

Adolph Coors, who started his career as a brewer's apprentice, immigrated to the United States in 1868 as a stowaway. He later changed his name and established his first brewery in Golden, Colorado, in 1873, about 25 kilometers from Denver. This brewery grew to become the Coors Brewing Company, which is now part of the Molson Coors Beverage Company, one of the world's largest breweries.

In addition to visiting historical sites, Coors enjoyed various activities during his stay in Wuppertal, including rides on the suspension railway and the Schwebodrom. He was also an honorary guest at the Langerfeld volunteer fire brigade's 150-year celebrations, where he showed his support for firefighters and their families in need in the USA.

The Molson Coors Beverage Company is famous for its distinctive beverage can, which features mountain peaks that turn blue at the optimal drinking temperature. The company's headquarters is still located in Golden, Colorado, where Adolph Coors first began his brewing empire over a century ago.

Coors' visit to Wuppertal not only served as a tribute to his great-grandfather's roots but also highlighted the long and successful history of the Molson Coors Beverage Company in the brewing industry.

Pete Coors expressed his admiration for his great-grandfather's lifestyle, tracing his roots to Barmen, Germany, during his travel to Wuppertal. The unique experience also reinforced his pride in the travel-worthy legacy of the Molson Coors Beverage Company, whose history intertwines with Adolph Coors' journey from Germany to the United States and the establishment of his brewing empire.
