In the quaint town of Vankleek Hill, eastern Ontario, Ouimet Farms Adventure is gearing up for a special event this autumn. The farm's latest attraction, a Terry Fox corn maze, is now open every weekend until the end of October 2025[2][4].

This year marks the 45th anniversary of Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope, and Ouimet Farms is honouring the Canadian icon by creating a unique tribute[1][5]. The corn maze, conceived this past winter and planned since December, is more than just a fun activity. It's a scavenger hunt filled with Terry Fox trivia and puzzle pieces, making it an engaging and educational experience[6][7].

Visitors can also explore the farm's Terry Fox exhibit, which includes historical details and a map of Fox's iconic journey[8]. The exhibit is part of the celebrations for the 45th anniversary of Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope.

Andre Ouimet, the farm's owner, expressed his passion for the project, stating, "Terry Fox is a Canadian icon, and we're proud to pay tribute to his legacy"[9]. Creating the corn maze for Terry Fox is special to him, as it allows the farm to combine family-friendly entertainment with a meaningful tribute.

The corn maze is just one of the many attractions offered at Ouimet Farms. Other activities include pedal kart rides, a jumping pillow, and a gemstone mining station[1].

Noella St. Pierre and her family visit the farm annually from Halifax to do the corn maze. This year, they're especially excited about the Terry Fox tribute. Guy St. Pierre, a member of the St. Pierre family, was participating in the maze with a family of eight[3].

As part of honouring Terry Fox's legacy, the attraction supports fundraising for the Terry Fox Foundation, continuing to raise awareness and donations for cancer research inspired by Fox’s Marathon of Hope[1]. Ouimet Farms has been in contact with the Terry Fox Foundation and will be making a donation at the end of the season.

So, if you're looking for a fun autumn activity that also supports a good cause, be sure to check out the Terry Fox corn maze at Ouimet Farms Adventure. It's located at 63 Main St. W., Vankleek Hill, ON[5].
