Video Production: Filmings for Hiking Video Series Two Commence
The Tramping Video Series, a captivating exploration of New Zealand's stunning landscapes, has been making waves since its first season. The series, which began in November 2020, has taken the team to various breathtaking locations across the country.
The journey started with the Kauaeranga Kauri Trail (Pinnacles) in the Coromandel on 26th November 2020. Highlights of the first trip included a climb to the Pinnacles Summit and some remnants of the logging history in the area. This was a special moment for Mike's children as they experienced their first hut experience.
The second trip, on 8th December 2020, led the team to Welcome Flat Hut in the Copland Valley. The highlights of this trip were the moody mountain vistas, massive swing bridges, and a soak in the natural hot springs at Welcome Flat Hut. Remnants of the storms in late 2019 were still very apparent on the second trip's section of the track.
The third trip, on 14th December 2020, took the team to the Southern Crossing in the Tararua Ranges. Despite the weather being too good, work continues to gather poor weather footage. Highlights of the trip included a long sunset with views over the Kaikoura ranges and watching the International Space Station flyover. However, very high winds caused an extended delay in filming.
The fourth trip of the series was The Alpine Route in Mt Richmond Forest Park on 25th January 2021. The fifth trip was in Mt Somers, Canterbury on 15th February 2021.
The sixth trip of the series was the Rees-Dart Track in Mt Aspiring on 8th March 2021. The seventh trip of the series was the Gillespie Pass Circuit in Mt Aspiring National Park on 15th March 2021.
As of now, the series is currently filming its second season. The team for each trip consists of dedicated individuals who share a passion for the outdoors. The series will be released in 2021, and updates on trips and progress are being shared.

While the Tramping Video Series captures New Zealand's breathtaking landscapes through hiking, it also ventures into traveling, with the team's mid-March trips taking them to the Rees-Dart Track and the Gillespie Pass Circuit in Mt Aspiring. Passionate about their outdoors lifestyle, the team plans to incorporate sports elements in the second season, although details are not yet publicly available.
