Witnessing World Children's Day, the thrilling realm of Fredenbaum rejoices in the concurrent celebration of two anniversary milestones, coupled with an unfortunate incident involving a crash.

On World Children's Day, September 20, 2025, Dortmund will come alive with the vibrant and lively "Noise Parade". This colourful demonstration for children's rights is just one part of a larger family festival, which takes place at the Experience World Fredenbaum.

The family festival is a special occasion, celebrating two significant anniversaries: the Adventure Playground's 50th anniversary and the Big Tipi's 25th anniversary. The Big Tipi, the largest tipi in the world, was built in the Fredenbaum Park in 2001, after being the symbol of the Expo in Hannover in 2000. It has been under reconstruction since July 2015 and has been a hub for activities such as children and parents examining plant seeds and minerals under microscopes.

The motto of the event is "The Noise Parade - Loud, Colorful, Strong Together! The Future Needs Children's Rights." The parade, accompanied by a tractor with music and a choreographer practicing a dance with the children, starts at the Heinz-Werner-Meyer-Treff (Vogelpothsweg 15) and ends at the Experience World at Fredenbaum. Institutions, clubs, and initiatives are invited to participate in the parade by registering via email at [email protected].

The parade route features a colourful interactive program where families and children can join in spontaneously. Creative workshops, plenty of movement, a democracy quiz, bungee trampoline, and exciting stories about the Experience World Fredenbaum and the Big Tipi are part of the family festival. A mobile book play area (Bookbike) is also available.

At 3:00 PM, a colourful stage program begins with dance, games, and live music. Children and groups from various youth recreation centers and the Fritz-Henßler-Haus will perform with dance and singing. The dance show with the mouse starts at 5:15 PM, leading up to the Children's Olympics finale with a big lottery at 6:00 PM.

The musical finale at 6:30 PM is the children's rock show with Johnny Karacho. This family festival is more than just a parade; it's a celebration of children's rights, creativity, and community spirit. Join in the fun and make your voice heard!

The "Noise Parade" takes place in cooperation with the Quartiersdemokraten. For more information and to register for the parade, visit [email protected]. Don't miss out on this exciting event in Dortmund!
